• Pumice - White CD [Stabbies] Pumice is one of those perfect New Zealand bands. Half noise, half song, all absolutely beautiful. Super low-fi, living the dream that VU started. Artwork is by pumic and the sleeve (though printed on some rudimentary level) is very DIY and collectable. This is a fantastic sister album to Pumice's Raft.
• The Skygreen Leopards: "One thousand bird ceremony" CD [Soft Abuse] Although no official sequel to Birdtree's Orchards and Caravans has yet to grace my ears, The Skygreen Leopards will do nicely for the time being. A little more songy than Birdtree, but that's fine by me. At times I'm reminded a little of Pearls Before Swine but everything here is spacious and rich with wonderful organic textures. Highly recommended!
